I just started my apprenticeship and because im now getting a steady wage (albeit a small one) im looking to get my hands on some decent gear, im thinking of getting a valveking (been needing a tube amp to replace my MG since i got home from my local guitar shop 1 1/2 years ago) and a decent guitar

I play pretty much everything, prog, blues, jazz and metal being my big four

im not to keen on gibson les pauls or schecters (the necks just dont feel right)

i also would quite like
- passive pickups
- fixed bridge/ vintage tremelo (not TOM or FR)
- alder or mahogany body
- a humbucker in the bridge
- upto £800

Cheers lads!

You might be able to find one of these used http://ibanez.wikia.com/wiki/RGT42FX_%282007%29 but they're kind of rare. It sounds like what you might be looking for.

I can't think of many other fixed bridge guitars besides TOM's. Ibanez is pretty much the only big company who actually make their parts, and I love them for that.
