OK, here's what I'm shopping for:

- combo
- 1x12 preferred
- approximately 50 watts
- tube - 6L6 preferred
- two independent channels
- blackface style cleans with reverb
- a hot high-gain channel
- reliable (no made-in-asia junk full of tiny PCBAs, ribon cables, and plastic jacks)
- I plan to use it for lots of styles with lots of guitars. My primary guitar is a GMW superstrat loaded with EMG-Xs.
- price is not a concern for now

Here's my list of things to try thus far:

Rivera
Clubster 40
Fandango 50 1x12

Mesa
Express 5:50
Lonestar

Bogner
Shiva (6L6,1x12)

Budda
Superdrive 45 1x12

Soldano
Lucky 13 2x12

Orange
Rockerverb 50

Of those, I'm leaning towards the Shiva or the Lucky 13. What am I missing that I need to be trying?

Try a Mesa F-50 in there too, pretty sure it fits all of your needs and even though you said that price isn't a concern, it won't break the bank either.

Please specify what sound you're looking for. We can't do much with "lots of styles with lots of guitars".

But if that's the only thing you can say, AxeFX.

Doesn't fit the requirements. Nice try though.

I'm not really looking for sonic judgements here. I'm perfectly capable of making those on my own although it's great if people want to chime in with why they like a particular amp. What I'm really looking for is amps that meet my requirements that I don't know about or didn't remember when I made my list.

Yes, but you need to give us some genres here, or no one's going to bother helping you.

What might be a "hot high-gain channel" to someone might be barely any gain to someone else.

I choose Diezel Einstein 50.

maybe you're not saying the right things? an amp likes to know you care.

I figured the amps already listed would sort out the issue of the gain channel to some degree.

Since I intend to use this amp to play gigs and as an option for the studio, the answer to what kind of music is whatever someone will pay me to play. I anticipate mostly rock and country.

The diezel goes on the list.

This.

Or you're gonna get a lot of replies that don't help you.

Any suggestion that meets the requirements is of interest. I don't think there's THAT many amps out there that do.

I'd REALLY suggest the Rockerverb 100 over the 50. The gain channel is so much better, as is the clean IMO.
