Hi UG folks,

I'm planning on buying my first electric guitar for my birthday,
i've been playing the bass for some years, and i wanna try guitar.

So can someone recommend me a Les Paul within my budget? (200-500 euro's)
it doesnt matter what brand it is, it has to feel good and sound good.
I will play blues, classic rock and jazz with it.

thx.

I've heard good things about Agile guitars, too. You might wanna check em out (I dunno if you can get one shipped to you though)
Gear
Highway One Tele (w/Custom Shop 51 Nocaster pickups)
Standard Tele (modded to Nashville specs)
Reverend Roundhouse

Orange Rockerverb 50 MKI
Vox AC4c1
Jet City JCA20H

And pedals!

I reccomend you check out a PRS SE single cut, they are fairly like a LP however they are so much better in my opinion than the Epiphones.

You know you're a bassist when you think a guitar is just some freaky type of short scale, six string bass.

I'do go with the Epiphone Standard, and after a few months, put some Dimarzio's or something on it
There are other possibilities, ESP, Agile ( like maybe the Dauntless SBD or the AL-3000M 2TS ), Tokai are pretty good too for LP copies

The Ibanez ART 100 or the more expensive 300 are great choices IMO, I've had the 100 for three years and just put some Seymour Duncans in it, the thing feels great always stays in tune and those pick ups really brought it to life. For under 300 bucks this has to be one of the best guitars out there.
