I couldn't find many good videos online that shows this, but does the Peavey 6505+ 112 combo amp have good distortion? Good enough to play songs from Disturbed, Killswitch Engage, and As I Lady Dying just to name a few? I just wanted to know in case I should plan on getting a pedal when I finally get the amp. Thanks

Yeah its got good distortion.
when its loud..
and by loud.. i mean like.
that amp is freaking loud, so you better have a good place to use it.

look into a JSX 212 Combo
its got the holy grail of distortion.
you'll fall in love with it.

You sound like you're certain you're getting that amp... but you don't know what it sounds like...

Without meaning to sound harsh, please spend some time actually researching what it sounds like, hell go play the damn thing before you buy it.

it does have a lot of gain and enough to do modern metalcore but i would recommend and OD pedal if you really want that tight sound
