I need a new guitar, and I play mostly metal but some alternative and other stuff, bands like lamb of god, killswitch engage, trivium, foo fighters, NOFX etc.

I've seen the PRS SE custom and loved it, spent 2 hours on it in my local music shop

I need:
Passive pickups
under 500 GBP
a non-locking bridge
preferably a gigbag/case included
nothing too extreme (shape), an explorer at the most

thanks, ask if you need any more info

Why do people make this threads?
You could just search bar your question as there are already a million threads on this topic.

Not to mention there is no "right" guitar for any style.

you can probably get a Schecter Hellraiser with that.

Oh, you want passives. Then the PRS you tried out should be the one if you really like it.

Then get it. Whats most important is what you like, not what we like.

Check out TC Ellis Series 1 solid or hollow body. £299 with stock pups or a bit more with Bareknuckles of your choice. While you're on his site you might look at his 'Debbie' Les Pauls. Just under £500.

In your price range, you're probably not gonna beat a PRS SE. I own two Custom 24 SEs, and they're both great guitars. Their necks are very nice and the stock pups are probably the most versatile of any of other mid-ranged priced guitars.
