I will upload pictures in a new thread when i get a new camera cable.

Im making a Les Paul to look like a Chet Atkins signature http://www.gretschguitars.com/gear/index.php?product=G6120DSV&cat1=&cat2=&q=&st=1

Two quick questions

1. I have to convert the humbucker holes on p90 size and was wondering if i should just use wood blocks shaped for the p90s and use wood filler to get the perfect fit( and obviously sandpaper) or if there is a better way.

2. Also im not going to carve up the body im just going to cut the f holes out and put abalone in it i think that will look good but i dont know what glue is good enough.

If you can help with either question thank you!

i would use wood blocks rather than the filler, seems like it would be better tone wise.

maybe this isn't what you want but have you considered humbucker-sized p-90's?

I was planning on using blocks and wood filler so there isnt any random holes around the blocks. What companies make humbucker size p90s?

http://www.guitarfetish.com/Humbucker-Sized-Guitar-Pickups_c_26.html

this company has a very good rep, just ask around. they also will replace your order or do whatever it takes to make you happy. but scroll down through this page, there are about 10 or so options.

Thanks for the link I will have to find some sound tests. Ive bought many things from guitar fetish brand and other things on their website but never thought of pickups.
