and then some more:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r2pZ3KQdj1s&feature=related

I'm a fan of that album and it turned me to Loudness with the first listen to it , these Vids are from the english version, but the Japanese is as good as this .

Bands like Iron Gayden....

WHAT... THE... HELL?????..... men tone down a bit, we know that you don't like Maiden, but... mehhh
#83
No, there's Absolutely no problem, and I'm not pointing that from his post, but the Way he Says it... BTW dont want to start a rage here, so End of discussion, and stop spamming the thread please .
#84
I wasn't starting a rage, I was just pointing out that not every metalhead ever has to instantly like Iron Maiden or forever be shunned.

Just so I'm not spamming: everyone go listen to Witch Cross and Witchkiller. Now.

Post...

Exactly the point of my previous post, and again I just thought there's better ways to 'unlike' a band, there was no need to call 'em like that (and Yes, I'm a fan), I bet he wouldn't like that we insult his preferred bands; BUT it's great we worked this out men .

BTW: Witchkiller is what i've looking since a loong time ago, \m/.

Cage is brilliantly cheesy and catchy like a virus.

They probably aren't tr00 enough for this thread, and more likely belong in the hair metal thread in the 80's forum, but check out lionsheart:

... blahhh wanting to stop spam here was my base point (and of course share some Metal), but as the previous posts show, this thing called forum is full of real Dickheads that can't think before they write (what's left then for when "before they talk "?), really dissapoint now with this community, I'm outta here but knowing this thing is a dickhead palace, This thread was Amazing and I just Wanted to share metal and Be a gentleman, But it's just impossible, no? that way of thinking here "If you dont like it, call it gayos some sh*t else!!" it's... it's.... mehhh, just sh*t-minded.

BTW: morbid_death: eat yours if you want to see someone eating one.

This is excellent stuff. Forced Entry a good place to start?

Lightbringer is their most recent and is IMO a better album. It's a better starting place too IMO. Both are great though.

I want to try that while playing the opening riff to "Tempting Time".

0-0-0-13-0-0-0-0-13 or something like that alalalala but It;s so heavy and off time and awesome and you could not f**k anyone to it.

Holy balls. Defender of The Crown - I know I harp on about it, but it has to be one the greatest riff-fest heavy metal albums of all time. Absolutely every single track is spot on, not a weak point on the entire album. And I challenge anyone to find a riff better than the main riff for 'Time of The Dark'. Yowza! I would give both my penises to see them live in Ireland.

Hail Brocas Helm!!

The best band I've ever witnessed live. Those guys are absolute legends in every sense of the word.
I’m not the man I used to be, I... I can’t go back to Arkham.

I... I should return to Arkham.

Among the churchyard’s mouldering stones I recognise a name – my own.
I have come home to Arkham.

Today I downloaded Samson's Head on, and Spartan Warrior's Steel n' Chains.
I'm happy to say neither disappointed, and I foresee many more plays, especially the Spartan Warrior album.
#106
Not checked out Spartan Warrior, i'll put 'em on my 'to listen' list!

Fates Warning finally clicked with me, so i've spent the past day listening to The Spectre Within on repeat. The Apparition is ridiculously good.

Also, i keep forgetting how good Traitors Gate are. Perfect example of a NWOBHM band that should have made a full length, considering they're probably one of my favourite bands from the movement despite only having 3 songs.
#107
I need to try more Fates Warnng, I only have Awaken the Guardian, which whilst not striking me as an instant favourite, certainly showed potential to grow on me in the future.

I'll have to give Traitors Gate a go.
#108
Try getting hold of The Spectre Within, i'm preferring it to Awaken the Guardian so far myself.

Traitors Gate - The Devil Takes the High Road:

1. The Devil Takes the High Road
2. Love After Midnight

3. Shoot to Kill

Its a pretty varied EP, going from slower more epic sounding moments on the first song, to a slower rockier approach on the second, then to faster (but still catchy and melodic) on the last one. The vocals are bloody brilliant too.
#109
First song on that EP is well nigh perfect. A full-length in that style would have ranked amongst the top albums in my (awfully small) NWOBHM collection, no doubt.
If I took this cigarette and put it out on you...

...would you love me?
#110
I downloaded it before and have just listened now. it is indeed rather good. I think again it will get repeat listens rather than some albums which I seem to just listen to for the odd curious listen.

I also had Jaguar's Power Games on whilst in bed last night. It was a lot better than I remember it being.

Just thought I'd add some contributions to this thread.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M9bYOmAPIxM

Raven - NWOBHM, epic falsettos, crunchy riffs, everything you need/want.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9LvX4yzTIbk

Savage - Basically same deal as above. Opening riff is especially killer. Dual guitars in the chorus owns as well.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bvv7gu0UKd0

Legend - Viking themed metal from 1979 (!). Interesting at the very least. Sounds like Zeppelin I guess.
#112
Discovered a pretty solid modern heavy metal act from Sweden called Witches' Coven. They need work but definitely have potential, I'm keeping my eyes on them. Only one EP out at the moment. Pretty solid stuff, glad to see another traditional metal outfit.

Check 'em out if you like heavy metal.

Its testament to the undying brilliance of the Helm that I can call it 'their weakest album' yet it slays most other releases.

Black Death and DotC are pretty much equal in my books. Into Battle isn't quite as spectacular as those two, me thinks.

Still, Brocas Helm are some of the best heavy metal anyone could ever hope to find.

I took a look at their M-A page and found this bit of information:
"Played their last show at Keep It True XIV on April 30, 2011."

Shhhhiiiit.... I'm eternally grateful I at least got to see them live.

Any fans of this classic?

I don't get how that album is so revered. A couple good songs on it, but there's much better NWOBHM out there as far as I'm concerned.
