This is a song I've been working on for an acoustic alternative sound. Hope you guys like it. I appreciate all criticism both good and bad.

Verse 1
Should I ask or should I just assume
To understand why you’re not here
Had your doubts and all your reasons to
To make you want to disappear
There’s a voice in the back of your mind
Telling you there’s some place you need to be
So you get to walkin’ you just hold for one more night

Verse 2
Where do you turn when there’s no one by your side
To tell you everything’s okay
Who will listen to all those things your feel
And everything you have to say
Somewhere you know it’s burning in your heart
That there’s some place you need to be
So you get to walkin’ you just hold for one more night

Chorus
I would walk a thousand miles to reach you
And I will show you all you’ve missed
And the things you left behind
Can you see the trail I laid
To help you since you’ve gone away
And if you get lost and don’t know where to go
Just follow the breadcrumbs home
Oh, come on home

Verse 3
Will you sail your ship back into port
Before the beacon light burns out
Will your flight touch base with ground control
To land you safely on the ground
They will try and tell you where to go
But there’s some place you need to be
So you get to walkin’ you just hold for one more night

Chorus
I would walk a thousand miles to reach you
And I will show you all you’ve missed
And the things you left behind
Can you see the trail I laid
To help you since you’ve gone away
And if you get lost and don’t know where to go
Just follow the breadcrumbs home
Oh, come on home

Bridge
You were on the road for far too long
Just need to know where I went wrong
What do I say to make you come on home
One year, five months and fourteen days
I sat alone and count the ways
Of things to do to make you come on home

Chorus
I would walk a thousand miles to reach you
And I will show you all you’ve missed
And the things you left behind
Can you see the trail I laid
To help you since you’ve gone away
And if you get lost and don’t know where to go
Just follow the breadcrumbs home
Oh, come on home

I like the way you did things in the third verse, jumping between ocean and sky. And the "follow the breadcrumbs home" line is genius. I'd like to hear a recording.
