This

EDIT: The White House website has a VERY long list of email correspondents, and very few of the emails sent reach the president himself. I interned for a congressman awhile back, and we got a few of these, but they were all simply deleted without a second thought. He must have said some truly original stuff in order to draw this much attention to it.

He made threats, from what the article said, so that kind of makes it seem like he would have/could have/planned an assassination plot. It's a bit of a stretch but there's already 4(the have been made public) so yeah, this seems over the top but if you think about it, it's a smart move and one that is easily justifiable. Before you go blaming Obama, it was most likely the Secret Service or FBI that made the ban call.

I'm sure they all go through a keyword screening program or something like that. Any emails containing certain words or phrases probably get tagged and reviewed by someone.

Over-reactive yank alert!

Who gives a shit? Honestly. I doubt he actually "threatened" the Pres in any way.

It mentioned threats, if he actually threatened the president, or said anything that the security services could in any way interpret as threatening, then he could easily be banned from the states. It's illegal to threaten the president, even as a joke.

Threatening the president is a crime. The Americans can ban him from entering on that basis. The article doesn't say that English police banned him, only that they informed him he was banned.
