TS, I see your Squier VM and raise you a Fender American Vintage '75.

Edit: Holy huge pic. I found a smaller one.
Only play what you hear. If you don’t hear anything, don’t play anything.

THIS THIS THIS.

Black pickguard on sunburst body with maple neck is a very close second though.

For some reason, I've never been a fan of the maple on a maple body. Not totally sure why, I just know I really don't like it.

Here's my Jazz. Probably my favourite looking colour and pickguard combination with a rosewood board from the standard Fender USA line (hence why I bought it).

It still needs some holes for the pickup/bridge covers tough :P

I just have a thing about 3+2 headstocks.

How about a 4+2?

That is incredible. I've never seen a bass that looked nice in Orange before; and the maple on that fingerboard is hot.

Holy crap. Now I need a new jazz... The black/black/maple in five string with possible pickup covers = most epic win ever.

Ibanez ATK305. Not sure if it counts as a jazz bass, but man, it looks jazz-esque and oh sooo sexy.

I prefer 2+3 over ANY other 5 combination any day "/ any other looks ugly imo.

Agreed. I always hated 4+1 headstocks on fivers.

You will not be dissapointed. Got it a week or 2 ago and I love it.

So are those Ursa's they sell somewhat decent? I'd love a jazz bass, but I could never afford a fender at the moment, and call me odd but I would hate to buy a Squier. I simply hate the name, my only reason I wouldn't but anyways, good bass?
#35
Fender 50th Anniversay Jazz, I'd love one of these, stick an active pre in it and it'd be my ultimate four string, the matching headstock is orgasmic.

I'd never knock back a nice Shadowsky though, there's not a lot of mention of them on here for some reason.

its not that I prefer 4+1. its that a 2+3 as opposed to a 3+2 looks weird. like having the 2 on top it just throws me.
