I'm trying to find out more about this guitar I may get off a guy on Kijiji but info on it is limited. It's a Godin G-series, rosewood board, 24 fret, birdseye maple neck and that's all I know. It's been modded but I think that's the stock pickguard (Just cut up) Here are some pictures as he sent them:

Any info like what wood the body is made of and maybe the model would be awesome.

It looks like a G-1000 modded (like you said). If Godins are anything like their Seagull brand I would give it a serious look (I love my Seagull). They must be made in New Hampshire.

Check out this thread(#27). It says something about an answer directly from Godin stating a Limewood (? never heard that one before?) body and another claiming a Maple body(?).

Maple sounds odd for a body wood, though I've heard of that before. Thanks for the reply btw. Guess I'll try to get the serial off him and just email Godin, not sure if he's got it though..

about the post by cranium2001, limewood is a antiquated british way of saying basswood.

it does appear to be a G-1000 as stated above. however, the pickguard, though the correct shape, is not the stock colour. any idea what that mini-switch does

anyways, if it plays well and comes in at a decent price, it looks like you might have found yourself a really cool super strat that doesnt look like other strats!

maple body isn't too uncommon for Godin's. for their redline and freeway series they have a maple center with poplar wings.
