Tried to restring my high E but when i tune the string it always snaps! why is that?

If it's snapping near the bridge, you could have a sharp saddle. If it happens near the headstock, you could just be winding it around the post incorrectly.

I had that happen on my SG along time ago. Try filing the saddle a little (worked for me) or just replace it.

my piece of shit b.c. rich bronze warlock's saddles are all sharp, i break a string every 5 seconds...

it happens around the headstock, don't know how to wrap it up properly... don't understand how the people in videos that are trying to teach do it

down at the bridge there sould be little pieces of metal that have notches (there is one for each string) these are the saddle, the strings should fit into the notches, they line up the strings.
