If you guys were making a time capsule for people of the future/aliens/zombies to learn about our time (we'll say 1900 and up), what albums would you consider representations of humanity and worthy of being preserved?

This is totally not an attempt to discover new music

For mine, basically the discographies of my sig.
I've got the spirit, but lose the feeling.

everything. it wouldn't take up much space.

I agree with this. A few hard drives could hold all the songs you'd ever want the future to discover.

I Agree, hard drives nowadays have so much memory they can store every song ever made and still have over half of the memory empty.

Pink Floyd DSOTM
Blue Oyster Cult On Your Feet or on Your Knees
Black Sabbath Vol 4
Alice Cooper Killer
Cheap Trick At Budokan
Dave Mason Alone Together

Devin Allman > Devin Townsend. Apparently I'm all about artists starting with D so I win.

Well I'm gonna look like such an idiot if you're joking... but anyway. the rest of LP's stuff is crap though.

The problem with putting every single musics on a hard drive is that the future humans would listen to like the first few songs and see that they suck, since there are probably far more bad songs than classic ones that you'd want future people to listen to. We'd have to make a folder on the hard drive of classic albums.

Floyd - DSOTM
Mogwai - Hawk is howling
Radiohead - OK computer
Tool - lateralus
