So I was wakened by a "ring-a-ding-dong" and I saw a big white truck outside. Half naked I walked to my door to see a guy with an electronic-board and pen. He said "Sign for T0nEz!" Nervous, I did as the man asked and got my brown boxes.

I brought them in and noticed they were oddly light.

They were two small packages.

So I did as every man should when he gets something from the T0nEz man and that's get sewing scissors for delicate opening.

POP! goes the first one only to find a stick with a string and metal.

Then there it sat in all it's glory; the big one.

Unknowing what to do I sprang into action and shredded the whole box to findddddddddddddddddddddddddddd.

HOLY SHIT BATMAN! IT"S SO SMALL!

AND BRIGHT!

Tada!

Welcome the Baron Custom Amps Snott Watt to the community. He's a little ****er so let's get things straight.

- Single channel dual gain mode 12BH7 Push/Pull 5 to 7 watt amplifier.

- 100% Tube signal path No Diodes or SS components (**** you Blackstar!)

- 3-12AX7A preamp tubes and 1 12BH7 push/Pull power tube.

- Vintage Gain Mode: Clean to crunch.

- Modern Gain Mode: Crunch to Metal

- Dual gain Controls, Treble boost, gain modes, dry/wet settings.

- Dummy load for use as a preamp and or line out.

I shoved my 6505+ off the Mesa and plugged it in. Immediately as all UGers do they want to hear the BR00talZ!!

This thing as more dynamics than my K88 and responds very well to heavy chords and monstrous playing. Everyone here thought there would be little bass due to the little 12BH7 but trust me this little bitch pushes a load out. No, it's not like the K88 when it comes to low end or the 6505+ but it's there and it's quite big! Trust me if you metal heads wanted an amp that you didn't need to boost to get the most extreme metals this thing will do it fine. You don't need any more gain then 2 o clock either. I boosted it just to hear what it would be like and I just cried from the almighty power of Dave's little beast.

I moved onto the clean/vintage channel. I'm a sucker for blues and it was extremely surprised by how clean it would get even cranked. I like my clean with just a little grit so cranking it all the way and hitting the gain up around 12 o clock just oozed blues territory. I would have liked a little reverb but I'm sure I can find something for that later on. The clean is just so crisp and clear it's amazing.

I sincerely appologize for no clips right now but I just recently also got a bunch of parts for my PC which I'll be installing today after I do a bit of work so check back later if you want to hear this thing in all it's glory.

(also no hate to blackstar, I liked the HT-20)

P.S. that stick with the metal clip is actually a discharge stick since I'm going to be modding the 6505+ a bit later.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.

Badass! When it's not in use, it serves as mood lighting, or a night light. Baron knows what they're doing, make amps that serve multiple, practical, purposes!

Also, what are you doin to your 6505?

I'm doing a bias mod to it to get the tubes hotter and get the amp a bit less fizzy. Simple mod but I'd rather keep my and hands and life so I bought the discharge stick.

After seeing what Dave can do, I want a Snott Watt equivalent of his B60 or at least a 15 to 20 watt one.

My guess it is 5 lbs.

Technically it does have two channels. But the EQ is shared. Otherwise there is Vintage channel and a Modern Channel.

He can do that, instead of a 12BH7 he said he would use a 6V6 tube. Ask him about it. I could have got that done but it would have been $8-900.
