Excuse the repost. I'm just kinda desperate for an answer since I have a gig tonight and I'm trying to get rid of this ASAP:

You know that sound you get when you grab your mic stand, or mic and start rubbing your hands on the chassis (not the wind screen or anything, just the holding part).

It's highly annoying, and I'd like to get rid of it. How do I do that? The whole "hold the mic gentler thing" doesn't really work out too well.... Should I have the sound engineer put a high pass filter on my mic or what? :\

I have a Shure Beta 58. I've seen plenty of people use them live on huge stages without this problem, so it must have something to do with the mixing?

Sure are great, maybe the level is up a bit high, try and get the singer to be a bit louder.
