How much do they usually go for new? Will there be a huge tone difference with the JC-77?

Don't hesitate. If its in good shape, buy it at that price. I personally like it better than the 120. The vintage ones with the power switch instead of button just sound so much better than the new Japanese made models. The two tens give a more balanced and punchier tone than the 120 while keeping the amazing stereo chorus and cleans.

EDIT: This is all subjective, of course. Try before you buy. $200 is a good price, though.

I would still like to use my Carvin x100b > Avatar 2x12 for the heavy stuff, but would want to use the JC-77 for cleans only. I know there is a way to switch from one amp to the other quickly, yes?
