I was looking up a tab for a song (Makes No Difference by Sum 41 if you were wondering) and I noticed there was palm muting. I understand the concept of palm muting, but I've noticed that most people only palm mute when strumming down. I can't strum fast enough to do that, so should I just palm mute strumming up and down or just keep trying to strum down only?

I love a Dimebag tone just as much as anyone else. I'm Definitely considering a spider.

I can't palm mute and strum up for shit, so I just work on strengthening my arms so I can down strum fast enough

Besides, strumming up just doesnt give the same powerful sound as strumming down.
