I have an LTD EC1000 Deluxe. Today I plugged it into my Mesa Express 5:50 and the guitar sounded muted, as if the tone knob was all the way down (which it wasnt). I have active EMG's. Is it time to replace my battery, or is there another problem? Faulty cables?

All help appreciated.

Try turning your highs to 9 and your set your low from 1-3. Not sure if you have this on your Mesa or not but try adding in some light reverb.

Yuck.
There should never be an instance when you have to turn your highs that far up.

Could it be your amp settings? Try turning the bass down.

Try that first

Sounds like a battery problem. But I've never had active pickups, so I'm just guessing.
