Check out Thriller on youtube, uploaded by candyrat (or rpoland if you wish)
Gareth Pearson I think.. Candyrat has got a lot of acoustic players who recreates songs and make them instrumental, also selfwritten stuff that's awsm.

Suicide is Painless.
Those who have crossed
With direct eyes, to death's other Kingdom
Remember us - if at all - not as lost
Violent souls, but only
As the hollow men
The stuffed men.

Bron Yr Aur, Black Mountain side - Led Zeppelin

Fluff - Black Sabbath

if I think of more I'll post them

Windy and Warm is an awesome fingerstyle piece, if you have an independent thumb.

Livin' on a Prayer - Tomi Paldanius

Don't Cry - Tomi Paldanius

Wonderful Tonight - Masaaki Kashibe

Hana - Masaaki Kashibe

Clarence - Isato Nakagawa

The Sprinter - Isato Nakagawa

Tabs are available for all of them for free. Except the Tomi Paldanius ones, he charges but I managed to find Livin' on a Prayer somewhere.

Yes - Mood For A Day
Jefferson Airplane - Embryonic Journey
Harry Sacksioni - Elixer, Meta Sequoia and Thee bij tante Josephine

I don't know if Harry Sacksioni's famous, but his songs are great and his technique rivals Tommy Emmanuel, even though Harry mostly plays nylon. Awesome dutch guitarist. He also made some instrumental arrangements for Beatles songs like Blackbird, Here Comes The Sun and Girl.

Ocean - John Butler Trio

Seriously amazing.

Foo Fighters did that song on that album with the The Pretender on it.

</knowing nothing about foo fighters>

Ballad of the Beaconsfield Miners. Pretty cool song, but it's written for two guitars, I believe.

Although this was specifically written for classical guitar, it's still epic.
Dude, that sounds metal as ****. Really though, if you distorted that and added drums + bass, you'd have yourself a pretty good Prog-metal song. You'd just need a bit more structure.
