Alright long story short, I'm trying to start a band with my friend. Anyone got any suggestions for songs to learn that will help us with playing in the same time and harmonise etc. ????

Thanks for your time

We don't mind the genre as of yet aslong as its a good song for us to build on timing, technique and such, but eventually we shall be working our way up to metal.

A7x + maiden.

Almost all a7x songs have a kick ass harmony lead in them.

Dream Theater?

He wants 2 guitar parts, not a guitar and a keyboard.

I agree with maiden.

Junior's usually at least a little terse, but he knows his stuff. I've always read his posts in a grouchy grandfather voice, a grouchy grandfather with a huge stiffy for alternate picking.
Besides that, he's right this time. As usual.
