Hey

Im desperatly in need of a bass amp, but i dont have one and i need it tonight for rehersal.

Is it possible to plug a bass into a Guitar amp - Peavy Valveking 112 ?
I know it will sound rather shitty, but would it damage the guitaramp ?

Don't, guitar amps can't handle bass frequencies/output. It might very well break the amp.

Prob won't damage the amp itself, but speakers are another story. You wont get the bass sound you need. Generally speaking, guitar speakers aren't meant to reproduce 40 hz. Doing so at decent volume will do bad things.

Have an acoustic rehersal. No seriously
No ego-inflating quotes nor stupidly long signatures to be found here.

Move along.

Playing a bass through a guitar amp is fine (know anybody who actually uses a bassman to play bass?); the only thing you have to worry about is tearing a speaker if you crank the volume. As long as you don’t blast it you’ll be fine.

Really? Then Why did Wolfie use the same amps his father does on their last world tour????

You can use a guitar amp with a Bass. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. And, You can use guitar speakers as well.
