so my budget is 1500USD, since i have a job now..

i play instrumental rock, a BIT of blues rock, not really of anything else.

not planning on gigging yet, just a bedroom type.
cabs might be a little bit too loud for my residence.
but i will look for cabs as well. since im moving to a house soon

looking for combos too!
tube/ss
thanks!

jet city jca20H, or the 112 combo, or like an orange tiny terror, or the dual terror. all of those are under 1000$ and can easily work with a 1x12 or 2x12.

how would this amp compare to..say a JSX head?
because i think JSX's have the nicest bite in terms of distortion, but kind of too expensive and hard to find. :/

No, you said you were looking for a bedroom amp for your residence. All of the amp you've listed, save the Line 6, are goin to be way too loud for any practical use. Unless you see yourself gigging soon, stick with lower watt amps.

What used market are you looking at? I honestly see them for around 600-700 all the time.
Guitar Center is even selling one for 700, and they usually have horrible deals.

As for cabs, you just need to know how to look. I got an unloaded open back Avatar for 80 bucks. two 4x12s for 150, as well.

Yes but it isn't good

For that price you'd be able to a lot of things used, try to find a Mesa Mark III/ Mark IV

It is really loud for inside. Lower watt amps are great for inside. But if you are moving out in the country then it would be ok. I don't have any neighbors, so I can play as loud as I want.

If you want a DSL100, or any amp for that matter, try one first. If you are going to spend that much, play it a lot. Mine DSL sounds great. But everybody has there own opinions. I'm not that big on most Mesa's myself.

Check out some used Mesas
You could get a used Mark IV and still have some cash for a decent avatar 2x12.
Or single recs go for 600-900 used also dual recs 800-over 1000 used there more for metal though but a mark IV would suit you and it can easily do metal.
My gear-
Schecter C-1 Classic
Mesa Boogie 2 Ch. Dual Rectifier(blackface)
Avatar 2x12- v30s
And some pedals

For sale Minty Ibanez RGA7 seven string with tour grade hsc $330+s/h or best offer!
PM me if interested
