Q: OK, so do you care about the labels — nastiest, edgiest team in the NFL?

Jim Schwartz: It's better than the alternative — meekest, least aggressive, softest team in the NFL.

"Sanitarium Blues" by Townes van Zandt.

This one is particularly poignant, because it was written by a man who was hospitalized for his "insanity." And in the song, he is fervently asserting he is not insane though. Its actually quite sad and powerful.

RIP townes.

Refer to The Wall.
Keep you doped with religion and sex and TV
And you think you're so clever and class less and free
But you're still fucking peasants as far as I can see

Doesn't seem like a popular topic for classic rock or blues (Pink Floyd might have some, can't think of any off hand though). Metal bands seem to write about that quite a bit though. Ones I can think of right now are:
Metallica's "Frayed Ends of Sanity"
Megadeth's "Sweating Bullets" and "The Right to go Insane" to an extent.
Dream Theater's "Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence"
I don't know if its much help to you, but thats all I got.

Neither of those are about going insane.

what's the point in being "philiosophical"?

Interesting question...

Really? No love for Gnarls Barkley? Admittedly, not a classic rock or blues song, but "Crazy" is still so damn good.

Haha, I'm just messin' man. To be honest, half of the songs in this thread aren't classic rock/blues.

It'd be nice if TS gave us a reason for needing these songs. It's a world of difference to want a song to listen to casually rather than one for a school project, or something.
