Pretty much what the title says, what song do you think represents the spirit of DM to you?

I'd have to probably go with Crystal Mountain, or Zombie Ritual. Pretty hard to choose, both are kickass.

Hung Drawn and Quartered by Cancer, Evil Dead by Death, Chapel of Ghouls by Morbid Angel...And many, many more!

As a huge Death fan, (death metal too obviously) I would have to say Lack of Comprehension or Evil Dead. Symbolic is one of my all time favorite albums though.
Gear:
  • Orange TH30
  • Framus Cobra 4x12
  • Gibson Les Paul Studio
  • Gibson Explorer
  • Taylor 214CE-G

Antithesis by Origin represents to me where death metal should be at today;
Pierced From Within for all the classic DM heads out there.

Obviously Scream Bloody Gore. Any other answer is false. Not "A" false, just wrong.

This pretty much ends it.

Are you talking about those weird sphincter-spasms where it feels like there's a ghost dick in your ass for a little while and then it just disappears?

Bolt Thrower- Dark Millenium

Haha, funnily enough I just rememered I had ****ing odd dream ft. Chris Reifert just last night! The scenario was that I was on a school trip (even though I finished school 5 years ago) he was a fill in teacher and took us on a coach trip while giving out spliffs for the students. Then the headteacher caught him called the police, they arrested him a him...locked him in the bus with us. Then at night he shot the security guard and escaped and from then onwards he was a fugitive. Weird...so random but I guess that's how the dream mind works.

EDIT- that probably made absolutely no sense!

I want to try that while playing the opening riff to "Tempting Time".

0-0-0-13-0-0-0-0-13 or something like that alalalala but It;s so heavy and off time and awesome and you could not f**k anyone to it.

I'd probably nod towards Incantation or Nihilist
I’m not the man I used to be, I... I can’t go back to Arkham.

I... I should return to Arkham.

Among the churchyard’s mouldering stones I recognise a name – my own.
I have come home to Arkham.

Morbid Angel - Immortal Rites
Incantation - Blasphemous Cremation
At the Gates - The Red in the Sky is Ours/The Season to Come
Glance into my eyes
and see the darkest shadows dancing
Playing in the desert of my life
Burning, -
and my soul is descending...

I'm voting for Morbid Angel - Maze Of Torment. That's just pure essence of old school death metal.

Hammer Smashed Face... unoriginal, i know, but that song is just the essense of what death metal is about.
#39
Entombed - Left Hand Path. That mid section with the Phantasm soundtrack playing...just so evil.
Death - Evil Dead.
Nihilist - Sentenced to Death
Dismember - Override of the Overture
Merciless - Dreadful Fate

I've always preferred Swedish death so theres more of that than anything else.
