He might be gaining recognition in relative terms, but he's far from "big". And he should be.

He's pretty big over here in the UK. He had loads of attention last year and played some festivals and was on Top Gear once.

Seems like a cool guy.

Yeah as already said, he is very famous over here. Probably the most famous Blues artist in the UK the last few years.

He was on UK Top Gear a while back. That to me says he's pretty famous.

Yeah, he's pretty famous for the 3 string guitar and a diddly bow. He does play a six string sometimes but he looks so weird with it cus it's all shiny and new.

Never listened to him. Never had any interest.

"Oh, look, I'm an older guy playing guitars that I took strings off of. How can I play with only four strings?! Oh yeah, because they're all in an open tuning, and I use a slide, playing mostly (if not all) blues based music."

I understand why people like him, I just have no interest.

Then go listen to everything the man has ever done.
Have I missed something, or did you just simply post a clip of Seasick Steve live?

What were my expectations? Were we meant to find out he's a fraud or something? Not really been homeless?

I don't get it...

Fair enough. I can see where he wouldn't necessarily appeal to everyone.

That is quite amazing His song's are very catchy.

I have to ask now, I remember this solo artist, who somehow reminds of him.

He plays guitar, uses his feet to play a hi-hat and bassdrum, and has a pilot's helmet that has a modified microphone in it so he can sing.

Any clues, fellow pit monkeys?

Might be because I live right on the border of Tennessee and Mississippi. That kind of performer is pretty common around here.

True... but from my standpoint, they all kick ass
