I may be able to get a new guitar in mid October and would like suggestions.

NEEDS
500 or less. (USD)
Sold at Guitar Center or a VERY reputable website
Good for everything from ACDC to Guns n Roses to Dethklok
Able to pull off clean-ish (emgs are acceptable)
Durable
Pretty!

Preferred:
Floyd Rose (licensed is fine)
22 or more frets
I would love a Rhoads/Laiho shape or a Les Paul/that ESP guitar that looks like a Les Paul shape
Not a superstrat (just don't like them, deal with it)
Comes with case or gigbag

Cmon EG and help a brotha out! (when acquired you will be thanked in NGD post if I can find this thread!)

If you can stretch your budget a little bit, Jackson RR3
I've had one for a few months now, and I have to say, it's absolutely amazing to play tbh.

Try Rondo Music, theyre very popular around here and there guitars are great and cheap, especially there Agile's, people say there almost as good as Gibsons. Here are a few suggestions matching your criteria

http://www.rondomusic.com/product2206.html (V Shaped)

http://www.rondomusic.com/product1892.html ( Les Paul with Floyd Rose and said to be some type of EMG, also 24 frets)

and If you can spend the extra 150 bucks

http://www.rondomusic.com/interceptorpro625ebtred.html ( It has a floyd, EMG 81/85, Grover tuners)

There are only some of the great guitars they sell, there most expensive guitar is only $689

Liking the Agile Les Paul with Floyd Rose most so far... Not usually a fan of rondomusic but must have missed that one... So far that's the only pretty one that's affordable though. Would it fit in a Gibson Les Paul case though?

O, and can you unscrew a Floyd Rose like a normal whammy? (this will be my first Floyd bearing guitar, I know it will be hard, but I will read about all that stuff when the time comes)

Yeah it will fit, I worked on a Agile 3100 not to long ago and the guy brought it to me in a Gibson case. And do you mean does the trem arm come out like a normal trem? If so then no, on the LFRs that Douglas and Agiles use there is a sleeve that screw onto the trem to let the trem arm move 360 degrees freely. The LFR's on those guitars are not that great but if you set them up properly they hold tuning pretty good and will last for a while. I actually find that the floyds themselves are pretty decent but the screws on the locking nut strip easily but that only cost a couple of bucks to replace.

Well... You guys are awesome. I shall be getting a http://www.rondomusic.com/product1892.html on approximately the 14th of this month. Each and every person shall be thanked if I also receive a camera (ordered it 3 weeks ago and still not here???) and do an NGD.

I wouldn't rule out superstrats if I were you. The Dinky's are actually pretty good provided you can find a good one.
