Hey guys, I was just playing along to a couple different songs and I came across a scale I'm not familiar with. In the key of d, I think, it goes like this:

e|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
B|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
G|--------------3-5-7------------------------------------------------------|
D|------4-5-7--------------------------------------------------------------|
A|-5-6----------------------------------------------------------------------|
E|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|

It sounds pretty sweet to shred on so I was just wondering if you guys could help me find out what it was.
Thanks in advanced

^ Really? A much simple way would be

e|------------------------------------------5--(6)-(9)------------------|
B|----------------------------------5-6-8-------------------------------|
G|-----------------------------6-7--------------------------------------|
D|---------------------5-7-8------------------------------------------- |
A|-------------5-7-8----------------------------------------------------|
E|-----5-6-9------------------------------------------------------------|

That's A Phrygian Dominant

hmm ok quick question... i am just getting into modes and whatnot.. so far i found my fav to be Phrygian and Lydian... othern then Ionian and aeloian i guess...

hmm so the question is aint phrygian something like 1, b2, 3m, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8? erm i definitly wrote it wrong past 5th.. but that's not the matter.. its H-S-S-S-H-S-S right?
so tel lme about that mode and dominant one as i see its got major 3rd?

You are what they call a “rhythm guitarist”. While it's not as glamorous as playing lead you can still get laid. Especially if you can sing and play.
