I changed the pups in my Epi G400 to some Iron Gear Hot Slags a while back, I'm just wondering, should I have changed the pots? Or would a benefit from changing them?
I don't know what they are at the moment or what would be needed, so if someone could shed some light on that it would be much appreciated
Thanks
Tom

Do your pots make scratchy noises when you turn them?
Are they at the 'reccomended' ohmage for humbuckers?

They dont make noises when I turn them no, but everything seems a little dull.
And I would think so, I had humbuckers in there before.

Well, this site (might be where you got the iron gears from):
http://www.axetec.co.uk/axetec%20guitar%20parts%20spares%20pickups_057.htm

Gives suggestions as to what pots to use, but I guess its all down to mixing an' matchin to see what you like best.
You said you tone is dull, maybe try 250k pots?
