Cheers for all the kind words, dudes! I'm having a "guitar soldering party" with my sister's boyfriend tomorrow, he's got a Les Paul that also needs rewiring. It's the first time either of us do guitar electronics, wish us luck! Masses of youtube-vids will follow, I promise you.

You CAN play anything with anything....but some guitars sound right for some things, and not for others. Single coils sound retarded for metal, though those who are apeshit about harpsichord probably beg to differ.

I really like the fronts of the guitars. Nice job - they look pro quality. I just wish as much attention to detail had gone into the backs. They look a little rough and unfinished. Also not too crazy about the cover plates on the backs. The screws are too tight, which is causing the plastic to dimple. Other than that, you did a great job. Certainly interested in hearing how they play and seeing more builds in the future.

Wait, you're on UG too?! JohnIce?
Very nice, I was waiting to see what it'd look like!

DBZ guitars, love'em. Especially their Les Piccolo model.

Cheers for all the kind words, dudes! And yeah the back is a little rough, and the back plates were done in a rush just because I wanted to take those pictures before it got dark. The plastic is pretty thin, it's from an ice cream box... so the screws will make it bulge no matter what. I'll see what I can do about them.

Very impressive build, but the volume/tone knobs just don't seem to......fit, I guess. Maybe get some smaller chrome or black knobs, perhaps?

Thanks! I chose those knobs simply because I like the feel of them the best... they're just easier to handle while playing than other knobs. I also like that they have numbers on them, so if I find a sweet spot on the volume knob for example I can remember what number it was on for another time.

Did you just screw the bolts screw directly into the wood without any metal ring support? (dunno what the thing called. Bushing?)

I though it would help the sustain with more contact to the body surface. My current neck heel setup will have a smaller metal plate for each of the bolt screw. At least that's the plan for now. You are leaning me toward of making a Horizon type guitar :p

I guess fire extinguishers have to be filled with something other than fire retardant now, because apparently that's offensive.

Haha cheers! I'm getting my audio interface next week so I'll hopefully be able to make a thorough review/demo with good sound by then.
