Stone Dagger - True. Fukking. Metal.

Wow.

Just wow.

This is something special. It really is.

Epic. Energetic. Enjoyable.

Pure. Fukking. Metal.

This band is the real deal. It's been a few months since the demos been out and I'm still shocked at what I'm listening to. The quality on this track is absurd. Here we have quite the anomaly. This band consists of a bunch of guys who are well known in the Boston hardcore scene. These punks make better metal than pretty much any modern band right now. These guys play a perfect blend of power, doom, and traditional metal. If this band release a full length, it will be legendary. This is THE band to keep your eyes on, gents.

I can't do these guys proper justice. I'm at a loss for words. Just do yourself a favor and listen.

They're hardcore background has made a substantial contribution in terms of energetic riffs and song structure. Sounds incredibly unique. Thanks for posting this, hope like hell they produce a full length

All three of Stone Dagger's members are also in Magic Circle, so anyone who likes Magic Circle (and I know there's plenty of you around here) should prioritize this. You'll recognize Brendan Radigan's vocals.

Electric Assault Records is re-releasing the demo on 7" later this month, and if I have the cash for it I'm definitely gonna pick it up. (Also, I have no idea why the demo is tagged with "Brooklyn" on the Bandcamp page when the band is from Boston.)

That 7'' will sell out before it hits the internet. I managed to get a copy of the tape, it's killer stuff indeed. Far more interesting than Magic Circle!

Not my usual point of focus on a demo like this, but the drum sound on this is incredible!

It's the perfect audible level on an organic kit. You can just hear Fenriz orgasm.

The harmonized guitar bits sound very powerful and piercing as well.

I am beyond jealous of Strangles. The demo is so hard to get. A copy just sold on ebay for $40...for a two track demo that was just released.

I wanted to hold off on making a thread initially; I feared that my interest might just be infatuation,. It has been long enough for me to say without a doubt that this band is the real deal.

Everything is just so right. Scourge, my man, I almost died of excitement when I realized this band is local. I messaged Brendan, Im hoping to hear from him soon on if this band plans to do more and if they plan to play any shows.

It is as if the metal gods heard my cries and blessed me with true steel right next door.

I could listen to that track on repeat to the ends of time. It is a shame that the other song isnt quite as good.

I got lucky by noticing it on Shadow Kingdom webshop... they have some incredible stuff coming up.

I'd say it'll be kept in print after the 7'' comes out too, if even to stop disgraceful stuff like charging 40 dollars for a 5 dollar tape.

I forgot you were from Massachusetts as well. Unfortunately none of the members' bands have any kind of social media presence, seemingly by choice, so it's really hard to stay up-to-date on what they're doing.

I'd love to see them live, but for now I'll have to settle for Satan playing at Ralph's. Somehow, I think I'll live.

On a somewhat related note, Brendan and a few of the other Rival Mob guys are in Battle Ruins as well, who are a hybrid of Oi! punk and NWOBHM. Not quite as good as Stone Dagger or Magic Circle but still a damn good listen.

No idea this existed. Knew about Magic Circle, I'll mirror Strangles' sentiments on this release. Jeeesus christ what a release.

Definitely picking up the 7". Might scout about and see if there's any individual sellers kicking around.

Yo Scourge, have you been to Ralph's before? If so, how strict are they on 21+? As it looks like right now, I'm going to have to scramble for a fake ID to see Satan.

I never tried to get in while underage, but I've been told that they're very, very strict on the age limits.

Likewise, Stone Dagger’s The Siege of Jerusalem 7”-single is also delayed but will be out around April. There will be no pre-orders for this but rest assured that there will be plenty of copies to go around!

My bank account gets a reprieve until April.

Brendan never replied to my message . I would love to see these guys live. I just can't imagine how much ass it would kick.

Man, this demo is just so ****ing amazing. Between these guys, Eternal Champion, and Graven Rite, I seriously can't wait. Some serious EPs/LPs coming our way soon in this genre.
