I wrote this, well, as the title says around new years::

Raise a glass
In a useless attempt to change the past
An empty promise to yourself
That you’ll work towards a solution
For what’s been hindering self wealth

Fill the jar
A New Year’s at the bar
A night to commit to change
But to forget about in the morning
When the hangover takes effect

I don’t want to feel this feeling again next year
So, I’ll work to change it in the New Year
We say it every year
We say it every year

Salute the whiskey
A resolution that’s risky?
An attempt to be a better man
An attempt that is better left untouched
Yet, we say it again and again

Praise the Rye
It’s resolution time
A change to something he really loves
Can it really be done?
Sadly, it’s just like all of the above

I don’t want to feel this feeling again next year
So, I’ll work to change it in the New Year
We say it every year
We say it every year

The New Years Resolution
An intangible uttering
The New Years Resolution
Not even worth muttering

I don’t want to feel this feeling again next year
So, I’ll work to change it in the New Year
We say it every year
We say it every year
But do we really mean it?
