This has puzzled me for quite some time. I'm not quite sure why Europeans seem to dislike Israel, or where this dislike came from. I know they have been in a war with Palestine ever since the country's inception, and that both sides have committed not very moral acts but I'm pretty neutral on the situation. So tell me Europeans of the Pit, do you dislike Israel and if so why do you dislike them?
What are you dense?
Are you retarded or something?
Who the hell do you think I am?
I'm the goddamn Batman.

the thing is Israel as a country was funded after WWII and they did that by taking the lands of palesting people because their holly book says so. After that they weren't happy so they started to take more lands off their hands, because they needed more space to live, in order to do that they start a genocyde against the palestin people. So basicly they are doing the same thing Nazi did to them.

This being said i've nothing against israel people, only against the one who think they are right to slaughter an entire nacionality

Well, I hate the Israeli state because it's an imperialist oppressor of the Palestinian people, has slaughtered thousands of Palestinian non-combatants, regularly violates the human rights of its own people, regularly uses disgusting weaponry banned under international law, all whilst being given the backing of the US and European powers to the tune of $7m in arms a day!

That's why I hate the Israeli state.

They should have just founded it in Uganda to be quite honest.

Nothing against Israeli people. I'm against policies pertaining to Israel, in that it is the largest recipient of aid in the world. And it's a first world nation by most standards.

No one here is hating on the israelis, people say 'israel' in the same way as 'america did blablabla' or 'england did' etc. It's the actions of the government and the zionism thing that people are hating on, and with good reason, Israel is a rogue state and has carried out decades of opression and human rights abuses on the palestinians.

I think the reason the general American population backs Israel is they are told to through the media and through their bibles. However why the American government is suck up Israel's ass is beyond me.

It's a vote loser. Neither party has any interests in tackling the Arab-Israeli problem - it'll piss off the anti-Arab/Jewish lobby, peace creates the prospect of a stable Middle East, it's just not in their interests at all.

In my country not nearly everybody supports Palestine in the conflict, most are neutral and there is even a tv network(that no one watches) that has this pro Israel propaganda.
#27
I think its mostly because the Israelis need to grow the **** up and stop thinking that violence can solve problems
Emancipate yourselves from mental slavery, none but ourselves can free our minds.

Because of their nuclear programme. And because when we try and get aid into the Palestinians who are forced to live in squalor the Israelis shoot people on the boats and jail the aid workers. And because they treat Arabs in their country as bad as blacks were treated in apartheid South Africa. And because Israelis think that they have some god-given right to subjugate and exploit people like that for a little patch of ground.

Should have created Israel in America somewhere so the fascist butt-buddies could live a bit closer together.

It might have to do with a lot of people sympathizing for the underdog, which in this case seems to be Palestina.
I myself don't dislike israel, just wouldn't want to go there without some serious bulletproof gear.

Perhaps it's less about them being the underdog and more so that that's their country and land. They lived there and then all of a sudden Israel is founded and israelites are going to live there.

Might too be the case. I don't particularly dislike any country, but I do dislike for example the halfwits that seem to get turned on by media attention. If that would make me dislike a country I'd positively hate the US by now.

Couldn't we make the same kind of claims regarding the massive anti-sematic tendencies of the palestanian people? The acts of terror committed by palestinians? Its easy to choose sides for the weak and the under-armed, but lets be real here, if the palestinians had the same amount of arms the Israeli's had, there would be a conflict as well. Even worse since many neighbouring countries share the anti-sematic believes.

One could argue that the anti-sematic tendencies are rooted in the Israeli violence, and the terrorst attacks are acts of desperate freedom fighters. Afcourse this makes it easy to sympetize. But then again can't we explain Isreali's millitary acts, and extreme safety acts as a response to anti-sematic violence? The palestinians and neighbouring arab countries have made it clear from the start, that they wanted the Israeli's out of there. There have been arab and palestinian spokesman who pleaded for the destruction of the Israeli state, and this was BEFORE the conflict became what it is now.

My point is. It is extremely easy to choose sides for the underdog, and the underarmed. The truth is, the conflict is extremely difficult to grasp since both sides have a grounded hate for eachother, and claim the same amount of land for the same exact reason.

OT: Europe is more socialist then de USA, this is one of the biggest reasons. It has not much to do with religion. As far as I know, most of the Christians support Israel.

I dont support any side, the situation is extremely complicated, and there is no easy solution.

The Israeli state has been aggressively expansionist since its creation in 1948! It's always been a threat to the Arab nations. It's no surprise there's a popular discourse of anti-Semitism in Arab countries, it's been entrenched over the past seventy years.

Of course I can't condone Palestinian acts of terrorism against Israel, but they must be placed in context - since 2000, six times as many Palestinian non-combatants have been killed than Israeli civilians. More than 12 times as many Palestinian children have been killed than Israeli children. 24,000 Palestinian homes have been levelled by Israeli settlers. 0 Israeli homes have been levelled by Palestinians. Israel has 236 'Jewish-only' settlements on Palestinian land. Palestinians have no settlements on Israeli land. In 2009, Israel received $8.2m/day in military aid from the US taxpayer. Palestinian authorities received $0/day in military aid from the US taxpayer.

You wonder why Palestinians have elected a semi-terrorist organisation to defend their homes and their land? Get some perspective.
