Hey, I recently got a Gretsch Electromatic Corvette. I love it so far but im having a problem- with my old guitar, i used 10s for strings. somtimes 11s. Now im down to 9s because my strings keep slipping off the bridge, but they are STILL slipping. so I guess im doing something wrong. What's going on?

thanks.

I'm not really an expert, but the neck could need an adjustment to put more tension on the strings and keep them in place and stop them from slipping. But you'll obviously need a second opinion from someone that's more experienced.

If they're slipping off the bridge, you need thicker strings, not thinner strings.

Thicker Strings = More Tension = Less slippage
Actually, I go by Dave, but there are already too many Daves on this forum.

For future reference, the only things that affect string tension are string gauge, scale length and the desired note.
