This NGD is a bit delayed, the amp is a week or two old and I got the guitar yesterday. Here's my new amp:

This thing is insanely powerful. I haven't properly tested it above about 3 on volume for the lead channel. I absolutely love the tone of this thing, the distortion is beautiful. It may not have everything a higher end amp does but I think i finally understand the "warmth" people talk about from valve amps. It feels much less "sterile" than a solid state amp. I also like how it reacts to my picking style.

The new guitar:

This as an odd specimen indeed I think. It seems to be generic with the brand "Human" on the headstock which I can't find any information about. Body design looks like something B.C. Rich would make but I've never seen a guitar exactly like this one. It's got a lovely metallic/glitter blue finish which this picture doesn't do justice to. The floating bridge there is an FR clone, not the real thing but so far seems reasonably solid and I like the branding on it which is "Overlord of Music" :p. The HSH pickup arrangement is pretty cool and it's got some nice pearlescant inlays that you can't really see in this pic. The finish is iridescent under light . It feels nice but I haven't really tested more than a melody on one string which sounded OK, it needs to be restrung and set up properly before I can get some real use out of it. This cost me $200AU, I'm pretty happy with the find. If nothing else I'm happy to have that unique body with a nice finish and prerouted slots for that pickup arrangement and an FR

That's among the ugliest guitars I've ever seen in my life, but whatever floats your boat, man. It looks like the 1990s barfed it up.

Edit: nice amp, though.
Sincerely, Chad.

It looks like the LTD F-series (I think that's the right one..)

Maybe if it got seriously borked at the bottom.
Sincerely, Chad.

HNGD mate

I quite like that guitar,

One word of warning, make sure you measure, then measure again before you buy an OFR to put in it, would hate for you to buy one to find it wont fit in your guitar.

that is sweet!!!!!!! it does remind me of an esp ltd f series, what does the head stock look like?

I'll get some more pics when i get home, these are from my phone. Now that I have seen the ltd-f I agree, it is a clone with an extra cut. The head looks about the same. I would definitely check before trying to drop a real FR in.

That looks like someone took a really cheap LTD F series, and paired it with a Jackson neck.

The branding on the FR also brings up unpleasant memories of Devries...

I love that guitar, disregard the hate.
No ego-inflating quotes nor stupidly long signatures to be found here.

The action is actually pretty nice. I know it's obviously a knock off but I've seen worse from name brand guitars.

Here's an update with some proper images from my stillcam.
The action:

A pic of the amp with the guitar:

A close up of the body:

A look at the headstock:

And the fret markers:

I haven't been able to get a good vid/audio clip of the two together (I had to stop playing because my mum turned up right as I was going to record lol) but it sounds pretty beastly. The previous owner has it set up in B standard. It truly sounds like playing a bass on the top couple of strings, I even tried for a bit of an unorthodox bass slap on it and it sounds about right :p. I need to figure out how the 5 way pickup selector is wired now. So far seems to be bottom=bridge HB, middle=single coil, 4/5=blend between neck HB and single coil which sounds gorgeous on the clean channel of the amp with a bit of reverb.

Here's a test with a bit of bluesy improv, played with the new guitar and Bugera 6262, pickup is at position 4/5 (Neck HB+Single Coil). Please excuse the retarded faces I pull while playing. There's also a vid on there of my playing a couple of my own more metal riffs with my LP Jr on the lead channel of the amp.
