Once you go black...
Who wrote the blood and water chapter anyway? Probably some surly dad, only child, thirty cats.
#12
I'd say, go with white. A lot of guitars come standard in black so you'll grow bored of it and wish you had a different colour guitar.

Marty Friedman. Ex-Lead guitarist of Megadeth and a solo artist. And a BAMF of a guitar player.

And gay=homosexual, not stupid or anything else. I'm straight and that agitates me.

But then again, hes not playing a Kelly. And also, if you ask Metallica themselves (atleast Lars) they play Heavy Rock. So technically, TECHNICALLY, Im still right !

Actually Metallica started with thrash metal, which is what made them famous.

The Kelly is heavily based on the Gibson Explorer. Your original comment was that white isn't metal, I showed it is.

so TECHNICALLY I'm right

My friend has the exact same guitar in black and I like it a lot better than the white. Something about the white body and black headstock that bugs me. If it was a white body and white headstock that would be a different story, but I like it to match. Guitar OCD I guess.

Get black.

Yea right, don't get black, everyone and their grandmother has a damn black guitar nowadays.

If this was a colour vs white then maybe I'd be on the fence, but for this....

Get white, it's the right thing to do.
#29
White, white, white.

When it fades to a cream eventually even better.

Wear a black shirt or other dark color onstage and you'll get laid. Done.
#30
I love white guitars (i own 3) but in this case id have to say get black unless you get the headstock painted to match. I find that very ugly. Thats just my opinion though.

Makes him look emo, I bet he's emo.

Get it in tiger eye burst, and break away from the emo metal heads.

I agree that the mismatched body and headstock is a little weird, but white guitars are pretty sweet. Just look at Dave Navarro! The black on white contrast is awesome, and as has been pointed out, black guitars are so agonizingly common that even your own family, seeing you play one, will forget which of the tens of thousands of guitarists with black Explorer variants you are.

Black

Also, the Jackson Kelly KE1 and KE2 are two of my dream guitars. I think I might prefer the KE2 though.

I hate tremolos...and unfortunately, there is no higher-end Kelly with a fixed bridge.

Okey, Ive got a backup answer. Its the blitz from the camera making it look white, but really its black!

That IS the one downside for me, but I enjoy wanking on tremelos, and they sounds sick when you're good with one. However everything else about it is kind of a hassle.
#37
I like white guitars, but the black headstock annoys me. A white guitar needs a matching headstock or a natural maple one like my DK2M...

Still I think I'd go for the white. Black's just so boring.
#38
I just ordered the white one because the black one wasn't available. It looks OK, I guess. At least it doesn't look like all the other black guitars 8-|
#39
Don't get neither, I got a mint used candy blue KE3 for £110 and yours my friend is a JS, stay away.

But I must say black looks good, IF the white had pinstripes i'd say totally go for it.
No ego-inflating quotes nor stupidly long signatures to be found here.

Move along.

Bands/Artists of the month; Marco Sfogli, Marco Sfogli and Marco Sfogli .

Why do you say that? I owned 2 JS's so far: One with a licensed floyd rose and one with fixed bridge. Very reliable guitars, great sounding(for the price), they stay in tune and I really think these jacksons are the best low-end guitars you can get.
