I saw on a recent roland cube demo, that on there is a built in looper. So the guy played a rhythm riff, then somehow looped it on the amp, then that would repeat so he could play over it.

Can you get any kind of individual pedal that will do that? If so what are the best and best of the cheaper rnage?

Yes you can. Boss and digitech do good loopers, and some delay pedals have looping functions. They are kind of expensive for what they do though IMO :/ Check out the RC-2 by boss, I think thats one of the cheaper models.

Yes, Jamman is a good unit. The clips Sneaky and Unsynced Jam in my profile use the Boss ME-25 looper to loop a layered phrase for the whole song. You can get indidual pedals like the Jamman for your pedalboard or get a looper built into many of the multifx units like the newer Digitech RP series, Line 6 HD series, and the ME-25.
