Hi
I own a boss cs3 compressor sustainer thing its giving of lots of hiss. Could this be due to the settings or is the unit faulty? When I turn it on it really ads alot of hiss. Maybe anyone else has encounterd this problem and knows how to fix it?

Thx in advance

I'm pretty sure compressors in general tend to be quite noisy. If you're using a battery you could try hooking up a power supply to the pedal which should make it a little less noisy, but ultimately there will always be some hiss there. You could try getting a noise gate (Boss NS-2 or ISP Decimator tend to be the two obvious examples here) or even modifiying it. I found a page that talks about modifications the guy made that helped make the pedal less noisy.
