I've been playing guitar for 3 years, and I just picked up a bass a year or so ago. I can pop, slap, and mute adequately enough to play almost any Tool song. (If you want reference, I'll put a Pot cover up soon.)

My point is, I'd like something to challenge me since I just got myself a sweet little Traben Array 4 two days ago. Give me anything, I love almost any form of music you can name, from Sublime to Whitechapel.

Edit: Kensai, I'm taking that as you want to sleep with me. In which case, I'm flattered.

Would "Fly By Night" (Rush) be something you'd like?

Pantera "Cowboys from Hell"
Zeppelin "Ramble On"
How about The Beatles?

Megadeth
Hangar 18
Train of Consequences
Symphony Of Destruction
Peace Sells

Metallica
Trapped under the Ice
Fight fire with fire
Cyanide

RHCP "Under the Bridge" Pink Floyd-The entire Darkside of the Moon album
especially, Breathe, Time, Money

If you want a challenge these songs definitely qualify. It may not be the most technical music out there. But they are really fun to play, and have a great melodies. All I have to say is Good luck!!! You’re going to need it if you want to nail Jamerson’s timing.

In all honesty after only a year those songs by Jamerson will probably be tough! If you want some fun ones which would probably be right around your skill level I would check out "September" by Earth Wind and Fire, and "YMCA" by the Village people. They are fun to play and everybody recognizes both as soon as you start to play them

How about learning to read music?

I can read music. I do it for when I play keyboard. I just find tabs more effective, more accurate, and less tedious than the average piece of sheet music.
