Probably a dumb question since its rated for 9 volts, but I dont have any batteries and I have a 12 volt adapter for my drill, can I use it on the Ts9 without frying it?

The 12 volt adapter will hurt your Ts9,get some batteries or a a wall wort.I use ones from radio shack and they work well for me.

The 4558 chip they can handle up to 18 volts.

The LED would probably fry though.

I AM NOT SAYING YOU SHOULD TRY THIS UNLESS YOU WANT TO POSSIBLY HAVE NEED TO REPLACE COMPONENTS.
