Yes hi I'm a beginner guitar player. I know some of the fundamentals to guitar. However I wanted a teacher who could really give me some pointers to fortify my fundamentals. I'm looking for a teacher in NYC, preferably Brooklyn or Manhattan, if anyone could recommend someone that would be great.

Just go to a local music shop, or look in the ads in the paper. Tell them what you want to learn and they should be able to help you if they are even a half-decent teacher.

Junior's usually at least a little terse, but he knows his stuff. I've always read his posts in a grouchy grandfather voice, a grouchy grandfather with a huge stiffy for alternate picking.
Besides that, he's right this time. As usual.
