hey fellow ugers,
maybe you guys could shed some light on this for me. I just got an epiphone emperor regent on a trade from my local small music store. I was curious to see what year this was made so i looked up the serial number system for epiphones. ok here is the problem, the sticker on the back of the head stock says made in korea, but the serial number leaves me to believe it was made in japan. there is no letter in front of the serial number which would mean it was made in japan. i am very confused about this and almost afraid that it is a knockoff. should i be worried?

I guess fire extinguishers have to be filled with something other than fire retardant now, because apparently that's offensive.

Your guitar was made....

09=year
07=month
21=factorycode, Unsung plant, Korea
2095=production#

Epi changed to this serial# system in 2008
