My newest rock/metal type remake of a classic. I expanded upon the "character select theme" from X men COTA and X-Men Vs Street Fighter. I tried to keep some of that oldschool video game vibe.

haha dude that is sick! I love it brings me back to the glory days. The guitar tone is good and so is the mix. I can't really find anything negative to say about it. What did you use to record with?
c4c?

Thanks man! I checked out your song as well and left and comment on the thread. I used FL Studio to record/mix etc the song.

Thanks for the crit!

I don't know if the original had all of those weird off beat notes in the main riff, but I'm not sure I like the way it sounds like you're just randomly hitting notes. Again, this may not be your fault. Your guitar technique is very good, and your sound is good too. Everything else sounded great. In fact, I found myself wanting the guitar to be louder because it's very good listening. Keep it up!

This is awesome, I'm a huge fan of soundtracks like this. The guitar tone fits very well, and honestly I can't hear any flaws with your playing.

If I had to suggest something I would say the rhythm guitar (assuming you played that part too?) could be a bit louder but to be honest that's just me being picky because I can't find any other faults with it!

Thanks man! Yes, I did play all the guitar parts. Lol I fought with the volume on the rhythm a fair bit. At first I had it too loud. Now it is a bit too quiet.

Thanks for the crit! I'm not a real big fan of this kind of thing but it is still pretty cool, and I can't hear any mistakes in your playing so good job dude!

Thanks alot everyone! I'd also like to say, due to the positive feedback this has been getting, this remix will appear on a tribute album to the X-Men Children Of The Atom soundtrack!

Great production, everything sounds really sleek and polished. Did you record all the keyboards and everything too? If so this is fantastic, really enjoyed the sleek production of it, although the drums sounded just a little thin, and if I was going to REALLY nitpick I'd say the guitars could use a little more bass and some thickening up but only a very microscopic amount. Really dug this.

C4C if you feel like it, but seeing as this wasn't a comprehensive review, feel free to pass.

Nice playing, the backing track sounds kinda spaceyy. I only have 2 minor complaints: The backing track sounds like it's done with software, meaning it's sounds too static (no feel) but otherwise great job on the backing track. Second complaint is, you play the guitar in this track kinda like a midi file or a robot. You play spot on, but mabye use more vibrato for more feel ??

Other wise great job man, big fan of the x-man !

Check out my covers and tell me what you think of them:

Thanks man! I am a cyborg. So that explains the robot sound.

No but really I probably could have made some completely new takes of the tracks to get those slight variations in performance. So that is a true mistake I made.

@Jabronie25. I loved that cover overall! If I had a complaint though, it would be that in my opinion the rhythm guitars sound a bit thin. Other than that, it kicked ass!
