I recently bought a Blackstar HT-5 and a Digitech RP500. They're both great for the most part. A big problem I have is the noise I get from the rp500 when I crank the amp's distortion. It's not even really a buzz, it's more of just a "noise", like when you turn a speaker really loud when nothing is playing. I'd rather use the amp's tube driven distortion over the rp500's for obvious reasons.

I "solved" this by putting the rp500 in the effects loop, but now I can't really use the compressor because it makes everything so much quieter and muffles it when I turn the compressor on, because the entire amp signal is going through the compressor. Is there any solution to this other than separate pedals? Thanks.
