Tell me what you think. I play it on acoustic.

In a place where no one can get to he hides,
Surrounded by all of the hate and the lies.
He takes a deep breath, to get rid of the butterflies.

The world is his canvas or so he's been told.
But the brush takes more effort with every stroke,
The world is at his feet, but he can't get rid of the pain he feels.

He's got his whole life ahead of him, nothing figured out.
Because he's more preoccupied by how he feels now,
How can I think about tomorrow, when today is what's killing me?
He can hear what they're telling him, but he just doesn't care.
Says it won't matter anyway when he isn't here.
And he's holding strong.
You have the choices I didn't have and you're choosing them wrong.

And he used to be bothered by what didn't come with ease,
But this feeling of failure is becoming routine,
He just isn't sure. But making mistakes is just how we learn.

And the blueprints he's drawn up, the plans that he's made,
Will all go to waste, he can't live with his mistakes.
He's staring straight ahead. And scared as his eyes go blank.

This can't be real.

You can do this if you keep trying, just keep holding on.
The end is in sight now you won't suffer for long.
I promise you it will get better, but it's going to get harder first.

Well you've made it this far it'd be a waste to stop now.
I'll be there for you I promise, it will all get better somehow.
I'm not sure how long it could take, but I know that you're through the worst.

There will be joy after all this hurt.

He had his whole life ahead of him, it was all figured out.
But he cared more about his present, what does his future matter now?
He couldn't think about tomorrow, because today was what had him down.
He heard all of their advice but none of their support.
He heard what they told him but he just wasn't sure,
At all where he belonged.
Because all he ever heard was what he wanted was wrong.

In a place where no one can get to he lies,
Where no one can hear when his tears turn to cries,
He's holding his breath...

Aside from the very first stanza, I thought it was over all pretty solid. I just don't recommend over using rhyme, three rhyming lines in a row just makes some people cringe. I happen to be one of them. But again, it's a personal taste.
