Ok, so I've been listening to a lot of songs that use an effect like the one in the opening and verse for "Satellite" by Rise Against. I can't, for the life of me, figure it out. It's clean, but it's also really bright without being obnoxious. Please help me out. Thanks! (Link for the song below)

It's just been made deliberately lo-fi by filtering out the bass. I have a switchable high-pass filter built into one of my guitars for that effect, but you could get it with a graphic EQ pedal with all the lows cut, or an Electro-Harmonix Screaming Bird turned down low.
