Just stumbled across this on another site, and figured you guys might be interested in this. Hugh Laurie has apparently branched out and is gonna release a blues album sometime this year, and The Guardian had an exclusive preview of some of his songs.

Granted, he has some decent playing chops, but I'm not sold on the concept. And his singing voice is, in my opinion, a bit meh.

i remember seeing him on UK TV some years ago singing and playing a Robert Johnson song, he was extremely good.

I thought it was alright. First song was a bit slow, second one I liked better but I don't think his voice suits the music. The third one had some nice beat to it, liked that one most of all.

He's no Son House, though.

His voice really dosen't suit the music, but good on him for giving it a shot.
