One word, fantastic.

Many people dislike the Squier series, seing as they are the budget line for Fender but the whole vintage modified range is amazing.

I've played this one and it's a dream, definetly better than any Ibanez in that range (And their low-end basses are pretty good).

I reccomend buying it and swapping the pickups out to a propper pair of Seymour Duncans.

So yeh, this bass is fantastic, looks great, plays great and sounds great!

(Better than the mexican models IMO :P)
I love Prog, +1 for synth solos and songs about maggie thatcher.

Some places still have a few new Fender Jags that are just old stock, but Fender CIJ Jags are discontinued in the US, IIRC they're currently only available to the Japanese market.

The Squier VM Jag is ok, but IMO they're not as nice as other VM's (the Jazzes and Precisions) or CVs.
