Hello everybody,

I was wondering, how can I record my band's songs cheap? What equipment and software do I need? I've seen some of those portable recording devices likethis one. Can I use one of those to record every separate track and then mix it with cubase or anything like that? Or can you guys give me a link to a guide that explains all of this, so you don't have to?
Thanks
Bauwke

Well, answer a few question:

How clear does your recording need to be?
Are you looking to record a demo or something to sell?
What do you plan to record?

Trust me, it will help us help you

Could I get some more talent in the monitors, please?

It doesn't have to be crystal clear, but you have to be able to hear it well.
I want to record a demo, that when people ask me 'can I hear some of the music that you play?', I can play the demo for them. I want to record a few songs and/or covers we made, my budget is around €200, but I basically just want a way to record each track separately without too much noise.
