Somebody just started a thread asking if people thought 9/11 was an inside job. 30% of UG thinks it was. To me that means that 30% of UGer's saw Zeitgeist or Loose Change and didn't think to question it. I'll admit that I saw Zeitgeist and was horrified at what I thought was pretty compelling evidence that 9/11 was an inside job. Then I did some research, which you 30% should do as well.

Opinion page. Kinda funny, but pertinent: http://www.thebestpageintheuniverse.net/c.cgi?u=911_morons

There's plenty more sources of evidence that disproves the "truthers." If I had more time I would post more. Please feel free to add to the list.

9/11 is the same as the number to call for the emergency services, 911.
Coincidence?? I think not.

911 backwards is 119. 1-19. January 19th. Which is my girlfriend's birthday. But the day after, is January 20th. Inauguration Day. What does that tell you? It's also 11-9. November ninth. Muhammed Ichmal's birthday.

I love you =] I can't say I was very fond of you when we first started talking because you trolled the hell out of my threads, but after talking to you here I've grown very attached to you.

Yeah, write to my fanclub about it, honey.

I agree. I don't trust the government all the time but I don't trust random people on the internet running websites out of their basements NEARLY as much as I trust the vast majority of physicists, architects and engineers who don't think it was an inside job. To me, the problems with these conspiracies is they distract people from the real immoral actions that governments make, which they often admit to, and are easily proveable. Also, it makes anyone who question the government seem crazier because it makes people assume, "Oh, you're one of those people."

9/11/01 + 3/10/10 = 12/21/12 It all lines up now.
Obama's using his Muslim magic to get back at the Japs for Pearl Harbor and Battle Toads, and then he'll nuke the entire world on 12/21/12

I don't think you can prove it one way or another, so drop it.

To be honest, I disagree. It was a physical event which can be supported by evidence and logical arguments. There's nothing abstract about it, it shouldn't be impossible to prove.

Yeah i saw some guy at work wearing a shirt sporting "9/11 was an inside job" almost puched him in his neo-thrash face.

It is possible to prove beyond a reasonable doubt, but it is not possible to stop people from having unreasonable doubts.

Yeah, but you could say that about practically anything. There's lot's of people who will believe silly things, I just meant for anyone who think rationally these kind of events should have at least a much more likely answer.

I'm more annoyed by people who thought that the moon landing was a conspiracy.

I think the moon landing conspiracy is more ridiculous, but I'm more annoyed by people who make money selling dvds or ad space on their conspiracy websites, but who also clearly hide inconvenient evidence to sell their hypotheses, in essence lying about what they know about the murders of a few thousand people, which is also what they accuse the government of doing.
