Hello Bass forum,

I have a quick question in regards to compression pedals for live bass. Here is our situation, our bass player is big into tapping, so we have a good number of tapped out bass parts in our songs. Thing is that they get lost in live mixes because of the volume drop from tapping. We tried having him play lightly with his fingers, turn up the volume so that when he taps its somewhat even but its not a good result.

Any suggestions on a pedal or things to try out?

compressor would work, and bootsting highs a little would probably help too

As would working on his tapping strength.

Okay guys, I have a confession to make. Not really a confession since it's something that's been bugging me for awhile but I've always been in denial about it.

**** you gilly, it's not what you think
